- The overall aim was to promote understanding, appreciation as well as unity of purpose in the community in regards to the Millennium development goals.
- Identify target groups, mobilize, establish partnerships and galvanize them into action to create awareness on the MDGs
- Raise awareness about the MDGs issues and mobilize local, national and regional support for the project
- Community awareness through community education by selecting & training of members of different groups.
- Mobilize people behind the cause and influence public opinion
