Activities:

•  Meeting at LRF with Programmes Coordinator and other stakeholders in radio programming
• Accompanied LRF personnel during the field visit to Mang'elete Community Radio Station based in Mtito-Andei

Objective/Results/Remarks

•  To do an evaluation of previous radio programmes.
•  Issues for sensitization in next programmes.
• It is in view of this that REMADO has identified that there is a rising need among the Maasai people for more civic education that the current media is not able to adequately cover. We have identified a gap in outreach especially concerning Maasai-related issues due to a craving for more information and clarification about the most important and contentious issues affecting them.
•  This was collaboration between REMADO & LRF in the continued partnership shared in pursuit of Human Rights Education through radio broadcasts to the marginalized Maa-speaking people.
•  Impressed by the commendable service being given to the community. Also learnt that the station was created with the support of EcoNews Africa.
