Activity: CKRC- Civic Education Programme

•  Preparation meetings with stakeholders
•  Community mobilization for maximum community outreach.
•  Selection & training of community leaders.
•  Workshops within the established support networks culminating in Public barazas.

Objective/Results/Remarks

•  The overall aim was to promote understanding, appreciation as well as unity of purpose in the community to improve decision-making ahead of the national referendum.

•  Conduct & facilitate civic education in order to stimulate public discussion & awareness of constitutional issues, as per the Constitution of Kenya Review Act, the initial phase of the project being one month to be followed by impact assessment and report writing.

•  Networking to establish linkages with all the stakeholders through training and develop culturally appropriate training materials to suit community needs.
