The objectives of Reto Mara Development Organization with regard to environmental conservation are;

To enhance the conservation of the environment through capacity building, advocacy and dissemination of information and knowledge to local communities.

To administer and supervise projects geared towards the proper utilization of the natural resources in areas where such resources are found so as to ensure the maximum utility and conservation of the same in accordance to laid down policies, laws and regulations, international conventions and standards.

To establish, run and maintain institutions providing and making available information on environmental issues.

To undertake or cause to be undertaken within the Organization or otherwise in collaboration with other individuals, bodies and organizations research on socio-economic and environmental matters.

To promote general objectives on environmental protection, drawing on the knowledge, experience and traditional practices of the indigenous people and supporting their roles as environmental managers.
